BespokeWorks is small on purpose. We don’t maintain a careers funnel, we hire when a project needs a specific skill we don’t have. Almost always through the network.
How we work
A small team. High craft floor.
High autonomy
You own the problem end-to-end. No tickets, no supervision. The trade-off is you carry the consequences.
Async-first
Three time zones in regular rotation. We default to async writing, sync only when it earns its keep.
Bias to ship
Every project has a date. We prefer 80%-on-time over 99%-late. We learn from what users do.
No feature factories
We say no a lot, to scope, to clients, to features. The work is what we ship, not what we pitch.
What we look for
Specifics, not buzzwords.
- Production AI/ML you actually shipped, bonus for things that broke and what you learned.
- Comfort with ambiguity. Most briefs are 60%-defined; you fill in the rest with the client.
- Writing. Async means everyone writes well or nobody understands anyone.
- Strong opinions, weakly held. We argue ideas, not people.
- A portfolio we can actually look at, public side projects, GitHub, technical writing, beats a résumé.
